Before you start looking for a property to purchase it’s important to have a clear idea of how much you can afford to spend and to have a mortgage agreed in principle if one is required. This will help ensure that any offer you make will be taken seriously, something that’s particularly important when multiple buyers are competing for the same property. At Greenwood James we recommend using an independent financial advisors, who generally have access to the entire market and exclusive rates to help find you the best mortgage deals available. Once you have found the perfect property, call us to make an offer and we'll negotiate with the vendor on your behalf. We do recommend that your offer is as close to the asking price as possible as this will put you in a stronger position to secure the property and enhance your status with the seller.
If there are items that you would specifically like to include in the sale, you should ideally mention this when you submit your offer. However, when your offer has been accepted, the seller will complete a fixture and fitting list detailing items included in the sale.
